People | Ian S. Morrison

Ian's practice focuses on land use and permitting issues under state and local regulations, including the Growth Management Act, State Environmental Policy Act, Shoreline Management Act, and historic preservation laws, as well as local zoning codes. When necessary, Ian represents clients in administrative and judicial appeals of land use decisions. He also assists clients with corporate and transactional matters.
Prior to joining McCullough Hill Leary, Ian served in Governor Gregoire's administration as a liaison to local government, civic and business interests and as an advocate for local governments before the Legislature on municipal, economic development and infrastructure issues. He uses this local government experience to develop strategies that advance his client's interests before local legislative bodies, planning commissions and regulatory agencies.
