Primary Focus & Experience

Kim is a member of the firm’s land use team, working on projects from permitting through litigation. Her work includes research and analysis on zoning and entitlements for development projects, as well as assisting in the defense of project approvals, appeals of adverse permit decisions, and other development disputes. Kim also works with clients on general litigation and condemnation matters that arise from time to time.

Before law school, Kim worked at a real estate firm, where she developed an interest in how land use regulations shape development opportunities. During law school, she worked at the Growth Management and Shorelines Hearings Boards, a renewable energy advocacy organization, and the land use section of the Seattle City Attorney’s Office. Through these roles, she developed an understanding of the legal and practical considerations that shape land use policy, project review, and litigation.
