McCullough Hill PLLC is pleased to announce that Jessica M. Clawson has been named the 2027 “Lawyer of the Year” in Seattle for Land Use and Zoning Law by Best Lawyers®.
The “Lawyer of the Year” recognition is awarded to only one attorney in each practice area and geographic region each year, making this a notable honor within the legal profession.
Jessica, a partner at McCullough Hill, represents private developers in land use and permitting matters throughout Washington. Her practice focuses on complex projects in urban jurisdictions, where she helps clients address the regulatory, permitting, and code-related issues that can significantly affect a project’s path forward.
Over the course of her career, Jessica has helped clients secure approvals for tens of thousands of multifamily units, several million square feet of Class A office space, and thousands of hotel rooms. Her work includes major city planning and mixed-use development matters, including projects involving the Redmond Overlake Master Plan, downtown Seattle mixed-use towers, downtown Bellevue multi-tower development, Seattle multifamily and mixed-use projects, and permitting matters involving the downtown Seattle waterfront.
Jessica is also deeply involved in the real estate and civic communities. She has served in leadership roles with the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Bellevue Chamber of Commerce and has been involved with organizations including NAIOP, ULI, the Pacific Real Estate Foundation, Seattle 2030 District, and Mary’s Place.
